Specific Chiropractic Adjustments Chiropractic care is known for its use of the spinal adjustment.  An adjustment is the precise procedure in which a trained Doctor of Chiropractic exerts specific corrective pressure on specific places on your spine.   When a thorough Chiropractic examination reveals that your spine and nervous system are not functioning properly, adjustments are used to restore function.  Only a Doctor of Chiropractic uses spinal adjustments.  Do not confuse this with an osteopathic manipulation. They are two entirely different procedures.
